Refreshing summer smoothies

With summer finally here, many of us are ready to change up our breakfast routine – and what better way than with a delicious and refreshing summer smoothie! Try some of these summer smoothies that are loaded with filling proteins, healthy fats, and antioxidant rich fruits and vegetables.

 

Creamy strawberry smoothie

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
  • 1/2 cup frozen strawberries
  • 1/2 banana
  • 1 cup unsweetened coconut milk
  • 1 tablespoon hemp hearts
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract or honey

 

DIRECTIONS

  1. Add all ingredients into blender and blend on high until smooth – about 30 seconds to 1 minute.
  2. Add some sliced strawberries on top before drinking!

Green goddess smoothie

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 scoop of vanilla protein powder
  • 1 cup of unsweetened almond milk
  • 1/2 banana
  • 1/2 tablespoon ground flax seeds or chia seeds
  • 1-2 cups of greens (i.e., baby spinach, arugula, kale, etc.)
  • 1 teaspoon matcha powder
  • 1/2 cucumber
  • 1/4 avocado
  • 2-3 ice cubes

 

DIRECTIONS

  1. Add all ingredients into blender.
  2. Blend on high for 1 minute, until creamy and smooth.

Carrot cake smoothie

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
  • 2 large carrots
  • ½ banana

  • 3-4 ice cubes

DIRECTIONS

  1. Add all ingredients into blender and blend on high until smooth.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1/2 cup 2% plain Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup frozen peaches

  • 1 cup coconut water
  • 1 cup of kale or spinach

DIRECTIONS

  1. Add all ingredients into blender.
  2. Blend on high for 1 minute, until creamy and smooth.
