Energy boosting green smoothie

With beautiful weather finally here, smoothies are a perfect way to get loads of essential nutrients in with a single, refreshing drink. For a natural energy boost in the morning, try this delicious green smoothie and start your day off just right!

 

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 scoop of vanilla protein powder
  • 1 cup of unsweetened almond or coconut milk (plus filtered water if desired)
  • 1/2 banana
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1-2 cups of greens (i.e., baby spinach, arugula, parsley, etc.)
  • 1 teaspoon matcha powder
  • 1/2 cucumber
  • 1/4 avocado
  • 3-5 ice cubes

DIRECTIONS

  1. Add all ingredients into blender and blend on high for 30 seconds.
  2. Enjoy.
